Our Teachers

Get to know our teachers at Christian Home Academy. Our staff comprises passionate and experienced educators.

Brandis Cuevas, High School

Brandis has been teaching at CHA since 2021 and has worked with the ACE program since 2017. She started with us as a tutor with a strong background in algebra. Brandis has 13 years of dental and management skills under her belt, but her true calling is teaching high school. She is passionate in her walk with the Lord. We are very proud to have Brandis at our school.

Carolyn McIntyre, High School

Carolyn started teaching at CHA in 2025. She worked with the ACE curriculum for 15 years. Her education specialty is in Human Development with special needs, and she has a background in the health field. Her experience comes in handy as being a mother of seven.

Brinda Henderson, High School

Brinda has been working at CHA since 2012. Prior to coming to our school, she worked as a public school teacher. She transitioned from the public school to the private school system and has over 20 years of teaching experience. Brinda has a strong Christian faith and shares it with all of her students. We are very happy to have Brinda at CHA.

Katiuska Velazquez, Junior High School

Katiuska was a teacher in Cuba for 10 years before coming to CHA in 2024. She specialized in English and is well verse in Algebra which makes her a perfectly balance Junior High School teacher preparing students for High School.

Dianna Dixon, Elementary School

Dianna started as a tutor with CHA in 2024 and transitioned to an Elementary teacher in 2025. She has a nursing degree, but her passion is for teaching. She has worked with children in many other capacities since 2000, which makes her a great addition to our teaching staff.

Cheryl Doroski, Kindergarten/Elementary School

Cheryl has been teaching at CHA since 2007. She has taught elementary children as a Missionettes teacher for four years. Prior to working at CHA, she worked as a teacher for special needs students in New York State. She is an established artist and is our art teacher here at CHA. Cheryl is a 1st-degree black belt in our karate ministry. We are very blessed to have Cheryl on our staff.
