Kindergarten
Academics | Curriculum
CHA considers kindergarten as one of the pivotal years in the life of a student. It is a very important step to impart the love of learning and instill a good attitude toward school. We are committed to providing a solid education that is Christian-based. In order to accomplish this goal, CHA Kindergarten utilizes the Bible curriculum from the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) series.
Junior High School
Academics | Curriculum
Junior high school can be a challenging time of life, but here at CHA, your junior high student will have the opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, and physically. Supporting, challenging, and loving the adolescent during the interval between elementary and high school is significant in the development of each student. CHA wants to make the most of this dynamic and formative window of time.
Our school strives to balance the junior high years by focusing on four essential elements: a deepening faith, a community of friends, positive teacher relationships, and a place of learning. Each student is diagnostically tested to determine current academic ability and identify any learning gaps within each subject prior to placing the student in their curriculum. This ensures that the student is working at their performance level, addressing the learning gaps rather than working at a frustration level.
High School
Admissions | Academics
Admission to CHA High School is determined on the basis of parent and student questionnaires; adherence to the parent/student agreement; spiritual, character, and academic references; student transcripts/report cards; placement testing; and a personal interview with the parent/student.
CHA generally does not accept students directly following expulsion, suspension, or behavioral problems at another school. These standards are designed to allow students and their families to focus on their commitment toward choosing obedience in Christ in all aspects of life. Our school is not a behavior “fix-it” shop, but a place where those who desire to work hard in academics while following Jesus can do so in peace.
